The Effects of Television

             Recent studies from all around the world have proved that Television has an effect on people as individuals and as a whole. No one can say and believe that television has no effects on society. The most obvious is the effects that television has on the brain. It interferes with the development of intelligence, thinking skill and imagination. TV has become a major part of every Indonesian home. Many other countries are just the same.
             Television has various negative effects on our society today. Many People like to argue that television is horrible and that it ruins kids' minds. It has harmfully caused disruptions with the quality of family life, and morality in Indonesian society. I am able to agree on this point, but I do not feel that the totality of the influence is negative.
             Television today has a lot of positive effects and influences on our society and our Indonesian culture. Television gives us helpful information, various forms of education, and entertainments which are all a part of the positive effects that television has on our society. Television keeps us informed with plenty of helpful information. We are informed through the television of the latest news, and information which are important in our daily lives. The television often acts as an eye into the world around us. It informs us of the most recent happenings around the world. Through various news programs and documentaries, the television is a great way of educating the people throughout society with the important issues that affect our everyday lives.
