I have been playing volleyball for six years, since the seventh grade. I love to play the game and it was a huge part of my life. Almost everyday involved volleyball of some kind, whether it was in gym class, on the school team or on a club team during the off-season. The game fascinates me. Every team that I was on was a great experience except for the last one.
             After my senior year high school volleyball season, I thought I was done playing. I knew I wasn't going to play in college, and to spend so much money on another club season was out of the question. Then my mom came home with some news of a new club that wasn't expensive at all, well, compared to every other club that I have played for. It was called Noblesville Nitro Volleyball and was located in Noblesville, Indiana. Mom and I went to the meeting to see what this club was all about. Because it was new and didn't cost very much, I didn't really expect much. A few days after the meeting, I decided I would go ahead and play. I loved the game and wanted one last season.
             The team that I was on was made up of ten girls, me being the oldest at 18. Also, because the club was brand new and didn't have very many girls, my team consisted of several 16- and 17-year-olds and one 15-year-old. All the girls were very nice and easy to get along with. I was looking forward to making new friends and playing volleyball with them.
             We had a few practices before our first tournament. The practices weren't very organized, but, once again, I didn't expect much. Our first tournament was on January 18, 2004. I was so excited to play our first match, but all that excitement vanished by the time we finished playing the first game of the match. I couldn't believe how my team had played. We were horrible! I wasn't upset that we lost but at how we lost. We weren't even playing a team that was good. They were decent but definitely beatable. ...
