There are those who insist that they are not answerable to anyone and that's unfortunate. The people who are thinking like that have not yet discovered the meaning of life.
You see, successful living involves accountability.
Thus the children are accountably to the parents. The wife is accountable to the husband and vice versa. Too often some husbands believe that this is a one way street but that's not the case. A good husband likes to let his wife know where he is. Who he is hanging with, and what he is into.
The student is accountable to the teacher. The employer to the boss; the citizen to the government. The member to the pastor and his church. And all of us are accountable to God.

You know there was a time when we once heard a lot of preaching on judgment. The preacher drove the fear of God into our hearts by pointing out that ours is a probationary period here on earth; and that we would all be rewarded according to our works in the hereafter.
