In the American Heritage College Dictionary, the definition for love is a deep tender feeling of affection, and solicitude toward a person such as that arising from kinship of a sense of oneness. Knowing the literal definition is not enough for a person to fully understand the concept of love. The only way for someone to understand love is to have been in love at one point and time. Love cannot be explained in words only in feelings. Everyone has their own meaning of love most likely, because of their own experiences. It can be felt for a person, an object, a feeling, or a way of life
Some people confuse lust, and infatuation, with love. Lust is when you want someone sexually. Infatuation is an extravagant passion, or attraction. Love is when you know you want to be, with this person more than anything, in the world. It's the desire to be intimate physically, and emotionally. Deep down inside, you know when you truly are in love, with someone. If you have doubts, then it can't be love. It cannot be predicted, and could happen when you least expect it.
People today seem to take love for granted, and say it when they don't actually mean it. They do this most likely because, they are afraid to be alone. Love can be very hard to find, some people are just lucky to find it. It's not a necessity, but its life's greatest gift and luxury.
