ear today that the conflicts that resulte Pd in tragedies on all fronts were sparked by political reasoning, but were fueled by personal grudges. So when did those grudges occur? And who was responsible?
             After World War 2 a man named Josip Broz, or Tito as he was known to his people, became the leader of Yugoslavia. Tito gained support from Great Britain and the United States for his party known as the Partisans. Like many leaders before him, Tito also used violence to obtain power. ÒThe Partisans fought against German and Italian forces, as well as other Yugoslavs who wanted to return a king to the throne, among them were the Ustashi.Ó (Ricciuti, 1993) ÒDuring TitoÕs reign the fascist Ustashi regime executed over 70,000 Serbs, Jews and Roma's in concentration camps.Ó (Gutman, 1993) One can imagine that during the war, Yugoslavia had internal conflicts between groups who w |anted to pursue their own interest. The groups involved were Croatians, Bosnians and Serbs. All countries had two things in common; they created mass torture camps for POWÕs, and all participated in the extermination of Muslims, RomaÕs and other ethnic groups that were not favorable by their leaders. The hate between certain ethnic groups in former Yugoslavia date back 1,500 years. The events that occurred in the Second World War were the most recent. Generation after generation has been subjected to hate and torture. The war was called the Third Balkan war because throughout the history of Yugoslavia there have been three major civil strife's between the specific side ds involved.
