The Simplicity of Control

examining literary writings from William Shakespeare, and George Orwell. Approaching the present, we will examine the use of propaganda for control, and also how these elements of control are still evident in contemporary society. Looking at the 'control loop' statement from the outside, it sounds almost impossible for a single person, entity or force to get such control from one area of a person. In reality, I believe it is quite the opposite. I intend to prove that by knowing the appropriate means to gain this control, that in fact it is not as difficult as it sounds, it can actually be quite easy.
             One part of this 'control loop', is first witnessed within the works of William Shakespeare. Macbeth is one of the primary examples of this, within Shakespeare's works. Lady Macbeth, obviously, has a strong level of emotional control over Macbeth, and by having that control, she is able to make Macbeth do nearly whatever she wants him to do, no matter how irrational or unlawful it may be. For example, in the play we know that Lady Macbeth has control over Macbeth's emotions simply because he loves her, and doesn't want to disappoint her or let her down. Since she knows that she has that power over him, she is able to easily convince Macbeth to murder King Duncan. Before he came home from battle, he was clearly an independent, and very brave warrior until he returned home, and the idea of murdering the king is planted in his head. When Macbeth tells his wife that he cannot follow through with the murder, Lady Macbeth, outraged, calls him a coward and questions his manhood by saying:
             "When you durst do it, then you were a man"
