I remember running around in the backyard and behind the fence. The backyard was huge. It was long and there was a dike and river behind our fence. Down by the river there was a big opening which was really cool because everywhere else along the dike there were woods and there was no opening at all. My family and I lost our house when I was going into third grade. We sold it to some people I don't remember but I do remember the day we moved out. I love the house I am in now but I very much miss this home were I lived before.
When we lived in my old house I would always go into the backyard because there were woods, a dike and a river back there. All day I used to play back there doing whatever I wanted to do. One of my favorite things to do was shoot cans with my be be gun. I used to bring some friends back there and we would shoot cans all day long. The new house that I used to live in has a river also but I was older at this time and never got around to shooting cans anymore. Another thing I used to do was ride my kit kat snowmobile around in my backyard when there was enough snow on the ground. We lived in West Fargo but the neighborhood was like its own little place. In any other neighborhood you couldn't just ride your snowmobile around but we could and we did. Like I said now I could not do that in the new house that I used to live in.
The rapids if you want to call it, the railroad tracks and the wide part of the river was located about half a mile away from my backyard. We would always run down to the rapids and see who could catch the biggest catch fish. We would always just screw around down there and try and do whatever we could until the night would fall. We would then have to go home because my mom and dad didn't think it was safe to be out in the woods at night.
