A lot of people impact a person's maturation. Family, friends and teachers are the three major types of people who have played a part in my development.
             The most important influence in my life has been my family. They are significant to me because I am always around them and we have grown a powerful bond together. My family consists of close, friendly and patient parents and two older brothers. One quality that is essential to being mature, which my parents and siblings have taught me to be, is discipline. In Cold Sassy Tree, Will Tweedy's parents disciplined him when he spread rumors about his Aunt Loma to his friends.
             The second most important influence is the people who you are around sometimes even more than your family. They are called friends. My friends are my classmates, people who are always there for me and encourage me no matter what. These people may not know how much they persuade my behavior, decisions, and opinions. In the book, Will goes on a camping trip with his friends. During the trip, Will's grows to be more like his friends.
             Teachers are a part of my growth too. A noble teacher is one who wants you to grow to be mature and advance your education. Throughout my life, they have educated me and influenced my growth in many ways. All through Cold Sassy Tree, Will Tweedy grew more mature because of his teachers in life and at school.
             In conclusion, the same types of people who have helped Will be mature have also helped me. Even though Will lived during the nineteen hundreds the same values are being taught today.
