As a car zips past you going around one hundred and fifty miles per hour when crossing the finish line you wonder, how is that possible? Then the familiar sound of cop cars fill the air and you dash for your car to get away from the scene. The people flow out of the crowd almost like a giant bumper car game. The cops once again broke something up that people do for fun or a living. I feel that street racing would be a lot safer if the racers didn't always have to worry about the cops busting them. I again feel that street racing would be safer if the police gave the racers a street to race on after a certain hour of the day. This would equal safer racing and fewer accidents.
             When your sitting in your car and you hear the sirens of cops what do you do? Most people end up panicking or not paying attention to the road and look for the cop. As a result, during the break up of the race people panic and end up in an accident or a fender bender, that would then increase your health and car insurance. This may even occur in a higher death count due to people not paying attention and speeding to get away.
             Now I can understand why many of you think it should be illegal, they are speeding, breaking the law, and closing down streets. Yes, that is true, and why do the racers do that, because the police have shut down their old street or break up the one they're on. Well you may then state that they may be drunk or drugged up. From the reports and articles I found, the only drinking involved accidents occurred with two cars that were on roads not being used for street racing. The roads were people do street race most of them will not allow people to drive drunk. The only accidents I found were the accidents were there was no crowd or set race.
             My solution to all these problems were street racing is a big thing is to have the police shut down a street at night and give it only to the racers. If this would happen it
