Education in Japan is original. It is not too much to say that score of test is everything. Students can pass the class as long as they get good score on tests even if their attitude toward the class is not good. Whether or not students can enter a high school or university also depends on their scores of entrance examinations. Therefore senior students study very hard for a year. But it's hard for them to study three years' worth of study in a year, so students tend to go to a cram school. Students can't choose teachers at their school, but they can do that there. As a result, they evaluate teaching skills of teachers, and they connect it to their evaluations. The type of teacher who is popular among students is divided into two. One of them is a teacher whose lecture is fun but teaching skill is normal. The other is a teacher whose lecture is monotonous but teaching skill is good. I prefer to take class from a teacher whose lecture is fun but teaching skill is normal because of his/her passion, encouragement and tone of voice.
