Communism & Socialism: Answers to the Industrial Revolution
             In the 18 and 1900's the world went through a transformation called the Industrial Revolution. New inventions and machines produced goods enough to eliminate the large amount of poverty and increase the quality of life. Every country went through a catharsis including changes in government. These forms of government were new, and more tailored toward the boost in industry. Communism and socialism were two of these new governments. They are also the subjects which I must research and present to the class.
             I found that I had to explore two different venues of information in order to get the knowledge of socialism and communism required to finish this assignment. The first source I used was my standard issue handy dandy World History Perspectives on the Past by D.C. Heath. I used their explanation of my subject in the glossary to help with my research. The second source I used was the internet. First I went to Yahoo! and searched for communism. The first link I went to, entitled Communism by John Gray, gave a good summary of communism. I went back to Yahoo! and did the same search for socialism. Socialism The Web Site by David Mcmullen was where it lead me, and it to had an equally useful and informative "in a nutshell" essay of socialism.
             These two sources gave me plenty information to finish this project. They taught me enough about the subject to teach it to the rest of the class. Me and my group thought it would be a good goal to make sure we get the other students interested in the subject rather than making them listen cause it's on the test. Therefore, we figured making a communism and socialism comic would capture the students attention and interest.
