Part-time Job During High School
During high school, many pupils took part-time jobs after school or during the weekends. That raised the question of if it is beneficial for students to have a part-time job before graduating from high school. From my point of view, there is no doubt that students can benefit greatly involving in the activity of part-time job. Although it might take up the time for leisure or homework, but the advantages students gained are worth it.
The most immediate reward from doing part-time jobs is earning money. Money is very useful for people as it was used to buy almost everything we owned. For students who are teenagers that are often on shopping sprees, their needs for money are continuously growing. The money that was earned could also pay for the huge amounts that have to be paid for university or college. Furthermore, the homework and the courses will be harder and heavier in university or college than high school. Hence, having a part-time job will be a bigger problem with time in university or college. In other words, it is the best to have a part-time job in high school.
Other than money, another important benefit gained from part-time job is the skills that are learned during the experience. Part-time job can simply be a practice for a future career. For instance, if a student wishes to be a pharmacist, he or she can start by having a part-time job in a pharmacy. Furthermore, numerous skills such as teamwork, communication, leadership, time management and independent work can be developed. Therefore, it is a good idea to have a part-time job in high school as it provides the experiences and skills needed in the future career.
