The Ant & The Grasshopper

Preparing for upcoming event, which is before us, is something that should not be put off until the last minute. Preparing for test, reports, and life itself is something that should not be out off until the last minute. Putting things off until the very end can cause a problem, because we need to think that anything can happen and expecting the unexpected is a way to look at anything that is before us. In the fable, "The Ant and the The Grasshopper" we see that the ant was preparing for the winter and the grasshopper thought that he could collect food at any time of the year. The procrastinating grasshopper realized that it was a little too late when the winter came and he or she had no food to eat. This fable shows that being prepared for upcoming event is something that we need to do like the ant, who was a diligent worker, and was prepared for the coming winter.
Preparation for a test that is foreseen is something that should not be put off until the last minute. There have been times that I put off studying for an exam until the last minute. When I did this, I was struggling to remember everything that was covered in class. Coming unprepared for a test is something that no know one should do in their education career. One instance that comes to mind is when I was attending Wor-Wic Community College; I had an exam in Human Resource Management, and I had not looked at any of the chapters or at any of my notes. When it came time for the exam I did very poorly because I waited until the last minute to study for an exam that I knew was upcoming, "'Why bother about winter?' said the grasshopper; we have plenty of food at the present." (Aesop 1) This example will show students that waiting until the last minutes to prepare for an exam is not something to do in your education career. Preparing for a test is not the only thing that should not be put off until the end.
