When focusing closely on Book two "The Fellowship of the Ring", your mind begins to wonder with a great amount of uncertainty, a sense of discomfort to say the least. A Conflict was on the way, making it a mind boggling situation.
             Caradhra's temper subsides when the group finally gives up its attempt to scale the peak. They cannot allow themselves to suffer from Caradhra's extreme elements. Gandalf's conclusion is that they must eliminate their exposure and he suggests that they pass through the mountains by traveling below them, through the caves of Moria. The group without hesitation rejects the idea of this suggestion. Moria is known to possibly be more dangerous then the Old Forest, and the Old Forest is certainly not a place to spend your time.While the travelers have their disagreements, a group of howling wolves urges them into assent and they hurry towards the caves.
             The company of the ring passes through the mines of Moria and are greatly forced into trouble with Orcs. Most of the Orcs of the Misty Mountains were scattered or destroyed in the Battle of five armies. The Eagles however, reported that the Orcs are indeed gathering once again from afar, but, there was hope that Moria was still free. The company is forced into taking this path due to weather circumstances on the mountains.
             Tolkien is very descriptive in these chapters, allowing us to picture some great scenes in our minds, which help us understand some of his best work. When they arrive at the door to the mines, they require a password in order to cause the door to open. The door's threshold is next to a lake in which there is is a rather crazy looking creature. Just as they manage to release the door, the creature attacks and although they gain entrance to the mines, they lose their beasts of burden and the doors are sealed and they cannot return that way.
