o have any kind of friendship between himself and Donkey. In spite of this, donkey made Shrek accept it because donkey wasn't scared of him and actually admired Shrek. The audience may be surprised that a creature is unafraid of an ogre. In this respect "Shrek" is not like a typical fairytale ogre.
             Princes Fiona called him Shrek's noble steed (when they saved her) meaning his horse which shows that donkey played a major role in the story. Although donkey fulfils the position of a steed in a way, he still is a donkey and will never be a traditional steed due to his appearance.
             Lord Farquaad instead of having a handsome prince we have a short, weird looking old person dressed like a king. However, he has to marry a princess to become a real king. He dresses like a king, he lives like a king (he makes the rules and controls the people in the town not only that but he has his own army), but the fact that he is short makes it difficult to act like a king, for the reason that kings are usually tall, strong and handsome and don't need help from their guards to sit on a horse .The fact that he didn't go by himself
