Deconstructing Richard

Richard the Third is a play about deformities, and about how these deformities resemble the type of person someone is. The protagonist of the play, Richard III, is the prime example of a perfect villain, even in his own words, "I am determined to prove a villain," (I.1.30) are we given his motives, and a lead into the play.
