Charlotte Perkins Gilman- The Yellow Wallpaper
             This is a timid and dark story about a lady who is in a nursery with the decorated with wallpaper that somehow makes her feel like she¡¯s treated like inmate or child.
             The wallpaper itself serves as a metaphor for disintegration. With reading little bit of a background, the main character could reflect the writer¡¯s own integrity or destiny.
             The beautiful descriptions although they are negative and dark images lead the story predominantly. The yellow wallpaper is described as ¡°never seen a worse paper in my life¡± as her reaction. The further in the story, the description towards the wallpaper gets worse and worse. As a strong expression she denotes ¡°it looks like a face to her.¡±
             This evidently reveals her character in the story as well as her reality in the world where she lives. Other interesting expressions ¡°a broken neck and two bulbous eyes that stare at you upside down, absurd, unblinking eyes are everywhere¡± shortly narrate her feelings and expressions towards the wallpaper. The general narrator could be anybody.
             It speaks to her and protagonist at the same time.
             The wallpaper seems to implicate the reality of blocked world. And in which she gets stuck, she could not be any creative and innovative, and eventually, no such things to fulfill her self desire.
             She ends up rips the wallpaper off the wall. This is the part I don¡¯t understand what she really is meant to be.
