             The interview room is usually away from the playroom and is a more controlled atmosphere and quiet. Appropriately sized furniture usually in pastel colors makes the child more at ease. Pictures of animals or children's art can make the child feel that other children have been in the interview (Bourg). This room can be equipped with props and tools to assist the interviewer with conducting the interview. Crayons, paper, and teddy bears are a few of these items, which can help the child express thoughts or actions that they do not have the words to describe. The interview room is almost always equipped with audio and video recording equipment that cannot be seen by the child. The presence of video equipment in the interview room is usually very distracting and disruptive to the interview.
