             There are many categories in relation to feminism that should certainly be introduced, and this of course is to give us an improved understanding. Let's begin with liberal feminism. Liberal feminists advocate policies for overcoming barriers, such as affirmative action programs for hiring and promoting women. In simpler terms, they make sure that women are getting treated equally to men, with regards to their workload, pay, responsibility, training, etc. Liberal feminism is defined as the concept that seeks equality of opportunity for women and men in a society that is hierarchically ordered and similar to our present society.(Brym,1998,p.504) Another term that we should acknowledge is Marxist feminism. According to Marxist or social feminists, there are 2 separate but intertwined sources of women's oppression, capitalism and patriarchy. Capitalist patriarchy is characterized by a total separation of domestic and child-rearing tasks from "productive" labor. (Brym,1998,p.504) This separation helps ensure women's dependence on men in marriage. A major strength of Marxist feminism is that it provides renditions of substantial changes that are needed, socially. Finally, the third type includes radical feminism. Radical feminists believe that the basis of male dominance lies in the family, not in the economy. These types of feminists agree that the role of male superiority has originated at the home and were conveyed to the workplace.
             Feminism is a fairly significant subject in today's inequitable society. It affects everyone and creates a justifiable incentive to women's rights and issues. Without feminists all of the rights and issues that women face today would have no cognizance. It drives a person to question where women would be at this day and age if feminism...
