James McLamore and David Edgerton founded Burger King of Miami in 1954 in Miami, Florida which will become Burger King Corporation in 1972.@Both of those founders had some experience of restaurant businesses that they knew very well about it. Their belief toward their new restaurant back in 1950fs were to provide service toward their customers with reasonably priced quality food, served quickly, attractive, and clean environment which is still their belief. Other thing that is famous about Burger King is their price. 45 years ago, when Burger King was established, they sold burgers cheaply comparing to other Burger stores, that Burger King Hamburger cost 18
             • and a WHOPPER sandwich cost 37
•. Because of these advantages, there were 8000 employees working in 274 different locations by 1967, and today, there are more than 300,000 Burger King employees in more than 11,180 locations worldwide. One factor that has helped increase the Burger Kingfs expansion has been the territory, which Burger King had. By 1961, Burger King was operating 45 restaurants throughout Florida and the Southeast.@Also In this year McLamore and Edgerton acquired national and international franchising rights, which lead to the biggest expansion of the Burger King. Another big factors that lead Burger King to success were advertising campaigns. The companyfs first television advertisement ran on Miami in 1958. Even it was only viewed in major channels, one year later, they debuted with this quote gThe bigger the burger, the better the Burgerh in major television channels. Burger King was the first fast food chain to introduce dining rooms that allowed customers to eat inside, and Drive thru was introduced in 1975, which is now 50 % of Burger King Business.
