The argument assigned for the mid-term was on the topic of greedy farmers, and antibiotics they are feeding their livestock which causes disease in humans. The first thing to look at is the premise evaluation. That is evaluating the accompanying evidence that supports the argument. Then a logical evaluation will be done to check whether or not the argument makes sense. This is all supported by an argument diagram.
There are many components to the evaluation of the premises for this argument about farmers feeding there livestock antibiotics that are harmful to humans. From my own personal knowledge of the subject I can't comment because I have never read or heard anything of the nature that the article speaks of. The lack of an author for the argument cannot provide me with an evaluation of the source so that doesn't help make the argument true. Since there is no known creator of the argument it is not possible to know if the author knows if the premises are true or not. The premises appear to be able to fit the argument. I am not fully sure of this however because I have no knowledge on the subject, but since I haven't heard much in the news on this topic I am not sure that is has much truth to it. The first premise about the medical community reporting more cases of bacteria that cause harm to humans is true I would think because of the disease that has come up with meat in past months and years. None of the premises seem to contradict themselves or each other. The author has spoken in a tone that was very readable and understandable, so the argument contains no loaded language. The author make a general statement that this is the way all farmers are when it comes to making money and the antibiotics used to help increase their profits, but this isn't true. It is much more likely that only a handful of farmers do this because if it was true then there would be a larger number of people getting si...
