Is pollution necessary?
In this century, synthetics have made a significant difference in many people's
lives. The developments of synthetics have helped people lead a "good" comfortable and
convenient life. This has been made possible with the development of: plastic containers,
and bottles, medical achievements such as aspirin and others such as pesticides,
fertilizers, polyesters, and nylons. Synthetics have been developed for a purpose of
helping people lead a "good" life. Despite synthetics advantages, synthetics become a problem because it causes unnecessary pollution.
Pollution is unnecessary, especially in colder regions such as in Canada. Canadians use more energy per person than any country. This is because of their cold climate. Canadians need heat to keep warm, and to keep warm they need energy. Burning fossil fuels produces 70% of Canada's energy. This energy is used for televisions, computers, stoves, and for heating. We need this energy for televisions, computers, stoves for cooking, and for heating. Burning fossil fuel is harmful to the environment and to humans and animals because it releases toxic air pollutants such as carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide and sulfur dioxide. There are many environmentally safe alternatives for people living in colder regions. For example using a wood-burning fireplace and wearing warmer clothes in the winter. I also think that using solar energy and trapping the energy for nighttime and other uses would be a very good source of energy. It may take a couple spaces of landmass but causes no harm to the environment; therefore knowing that there will be a healthier future. There are different ways in which people can reduce the amount of energy they use and these different ways should be brought aware to the public.
