My personal thought on facilitated communication is that is a good thing within reason. I
completely understand how many others may feel otherwise, since some facilitators move the
patients hands for them. Before jumping to conclusions a person must think about this situation
from both perspectives, before deciding what they truly believe to be true.
After viewing both video's, I still firmly believe that facilitated communication is a great
discovery for these children. Although the second video made me feel a little questionable about
facilitated communication, I still come to the same conclusion. I felt that everyone in the video
thought a that all these children had the same brain mentality, which I believe is not true. I feel
that these children are just like normal children, they all have different levels of intelligence. I
felt that these parents felt that if one child was intelligent then their child must be just as smart.
Also, most parents were just delighted at the thought that their once quiet child could possible

parents of these children, some describe how their children began to help out more around the
house or were more happier individuals. Yet, some parents described how nothing had changed
in their household. That to me showed that these children must have different brain levels and
