Love is a word that I feel has been mis-used and mis-treated. The word love has easily been abused by many of the younger and even older generations. The concept of love has been cut up and torn, shattered and abused to the point where I feel that I don't know if I even want to be loved. Or even worse, I don't know if I want to love. What is a truly defined definition of the noun, love? Isn't love, when a person feels nothing but "butterflies" in their stomach when their lover's presence is near, whether mentally or physically? Isn't love, what binds a relationship together? Isn't love, being able to share a person's thoughts with their lover, withougt any hesitation? Isn't love, about Trust and Commitment? Or is love about betrayal? Lies? Secrets? I am honestly confused with the whole concept. My thoughts on the subject of love, have been modified and changed, possibly because of past relationships. I have been lied to a numerous number of times, by individuals that have told me they loved me, that maybe that is what love is all about. The unspoken truth. To those individuals who repeatedly say the words, "I love you" to another, but then turn around and speak of nothing but lies and secrets, why bother saying those words? Because YOU as a person think YOU love that person? Don't think you love someone, and then tell them you love them. Know you love someone, and tell them you love them. What is frustrating is to know that some people can't tell the difference. Give it time, take a breath, and let everything fall into place.
