Children are constantly being molded into the adult they will shape into. Each one is formed differently from the experiences they encounter to the education they gain; no single child is alike in every aspect. The majority of your childhood years are spent learning the world to which you live in by constant exploration and games. The teen years continue on this journey but add in another twist. You now need to determine your niche, or where you are going to fit into this world and how you are going to survive.
             As I entered the doors to high school for the first time far did I know how much I was going to learn both scholastically and socially in the upcoming four years. Freshman year was an eye opener for me; never in middle school did I have to worry about studying for tests or the homework that was the practice for them. I found out the hard way that high school tests were not something to shrug off. I would now have to seclude myself from the rest of the world with a book and myself to study. As I looked back on those years in preparation for this essay I saw how much I have matured over the past years. At that time serious responsibilities were new to me and were not given the attention warranted. I would put projects and homework off to the last possible minute. I can remember on many occasions forgetting at home the very assignment I had just struggled to complete. At that time my priorities were not strait. Socially I was narrow-minded and immature. Trying new things was difficult; I normally stuck to what I was used to and comfortable with. That slowly started changing over the years.
             Now, after many difficult classes, one relocation, and four years of trials I have repented of those old ways and set the groundwork for the new ones.
