Similarly, Henry felt an attraction for her, as she was a wild creature. Henry was a smart and vivid person. His voice was very soft. Bandford and March invited him to stay in the farm that night because the influenza at the hotels in the village was affecting people. Also, since he did not get a place in the village, the girls allowed Henry to stay there until he found a safe place. March dreamed with the fox's singing that night.
             During the time in the farm Henry decided to marry March, that was older than him, but she refused because she felt Henry was the fox. He insisted on marrying her and she agreed with it. Henry told it to Bandford but she did not accept it and March changed her mind about the marriage. Henry became very furious, but did not change his polite manner.
             One night Henry heard March and Bandford talking about him. He heard that Bandford hate him and did not stand him in the farm. She wanted him to leave. He would leave in two days, with the next train. During that night, Henry took the gun and went out into the night. He shouted and killed the fox that night. March had another dream about Bandford's death and that she put the fox's skin over her in the wood-box. On the following day March saw the dead fox.
             Henry was very angry with Bandford, because she was against their marriage and she was trying to put March against him. He asked March once more to marry him and she accepted it. They arranged that he was going to Canada to prepare a place for her. He would come back to marry her at Christmas and they would then go to Canada.
