             In analyzing Southwest Airlines, a Spiritual Values-Based Model was used. This model appears in the diagram below. As you can see, at the top and foremost in the company's operation must be their organizational spiritual values. The higher purpose of the organization is reflected in these values. The values, however, must not only be an idea, but be carried out in the practice of the company as well. Not only the management, but the employees of the company too, must buy into these goals. Therefore, as apparent in the model, it is important for Human Resources to portray these values and ensure that employees new to the company share them. When this happens, success ideally will occur throughout the company, legitimizing the values it holds dear, while at the same time promoting these values to other companies that may learn about them and the success they bring.
