Have you ever considered what the color of water is? I guess not. It's one of those things one never thinks about, and never contemplates. It's one of the things that just exist and we accept. We accept that water in fact has no color. Then why do we continually need to pigeonhole everything and everyone? Isn't it true that until we have categorized people, situations, and even our experiences, into the filing cabinet of our brain, we cannot be content?
             Everything on this earth is made up of color. Look around now. The desks are brown, the walls are blue, the "blackboard" is green. Steel is grey, glass is colorless, the sun is yellow. The night is black. Yet the foundation of life has no color. If nothing else on this earth had color, imagine how dull it would be. And yet if we look at history and our very recent past, the greatest cause of conflict has been due to color.
             Children in fact have no concept of color differences in people, and in fact when I was at nursery school we had a number of children in our class who were children of domestic workers. One day, an African girl, called Penny had her birthday ring, and her mother – the domestic worker, and the woman she worked for came to the birthday party at school. I was very excited that day to see what I thought was Penny's nanny and her mother at the party. It never occurred to me that Penny's mother was in fact a nanny – I couldn't see that Penny and the woman her mother worked for, were different. Racism because of color is learnt – children are completely racially color blind. We are socialized into believing things about other people that aren't necessarily true.
             If there is any way of "judging" people it should rather be for their worth.
