When one invades the privacy of another it causes a reaction of betrayal in the eyes of the person whose privacy is being invaded. Privacy is one of the most personal things on this earth and any invasion of that strips away a part of that person which they thought was solely theirs. But, does this necessarily apply to public figures?
I believe that public figures such as actors, politicians, and athletes should expect people to be interested in their private lives. When they seek a public role, they should expect that they will lose at least some of their privacy. I think that becoming one of these types of people (celebrity), includes being in the public eye, and if that's something the person just can't deal with, seldom will they "make it" in the business.
An example of good sportsmanship when it comes to this matter could be "The Osbourne's." This show on MTV depicts Famous, rock star Ozzy Osbourne and his family in their daily lives. Now, what this show offers is a glimpse into their every day reality, and the attitude taken towards it is an ideal example of how celebrities must expose their lives to the public with a positive approach.
Currently, people are fascinated by celebrities because they have the money to lead lives that many wished they had. There are numerous tabloid magazines that are dedicated to the current events of celebrity lives and yet, most would say that they have no desire to know their favorite color. And to top it off, that color may not even be right, along with other trivial information.
