             · We want to marry Christians so that our faith won't be compromised when we raise a family. If you marry a non-Christian, you could end up arguing over taking your children to church.

             · So our relationship can grow with God as our center.
             1. Contrary to popular belief, it's unlikely, or at least very hard, to convert a non-Christian when you are dating. If you try, it may seem like you have accomplished converting that person but in all actuality you usually haven't because most people will try to please their girlfriend boyfriend and 'become' a Christian as long as you are going out. However, if you break up, the person is likely to go back to their old habits. It's better to just be friends; it's easier to talk about things.

             2. When dating, your commitments are toward each other, not God, but if you are dating a Christian, you CAN have God as your focus. This is important because our lives should be focused on God.
             3. You can't have real love without Jesus because Jesus IS love. He showed us the ultimate love when He died for us.
             4. Dating can separate you from God. If you spend all your time with your boyfriend/girlfriend ad you have no time to spend with God, it's BAD.
             5. People are too busy trying to please their partner not God. They spend all the time they can together, not with God. If you decide to date remember that God should be your number one focus.
