There was a duck who laid five eggs, one of them was a golden colored egg and was bigger than the rest. All the eggs hatched but that one big egg. Finally the egg hatched and he was a different color than his brothers and sisters. When he hatched his mother was even scared that he may be a turkey! When he grew up everyone made fun of him since he was ugly. He ran away from his family since he was also made fun of there. He ran to a grassy moor, there were hunters there and shots were fired. The duckling got scared and hid. After a while hunting dogs came to the sence and they didn't even bother to eat him since he was ugly! After that he flew to an old ladies house and stayed there for a while with a cat and a hen. Then he didn't feel like himself there so he went insearch of some other place to live. While insearch he slept on a lake and overnight the temperture dropped below freezing and the poor duckling froze. Then a man picked him up the next morning but the duckling didn't stay there long since the mans kids were a pain. He stepped out of the house and saw a flock of ducks above him and flew with them. He had never been accepted before, but he finally was now. They stopped at a pond and he bent over to get water and there he saw his new wonderful look.
