Retort to the "Declaration of Independence"
             The term "necessary", when used, is one that is most often one-sided and biased toward the user. When you say that it is "necessary...to dissolve the Political Bands which have connected them with another" I think that you are being to quick to jump to that conclusion. Your reasons and causes to want to dissolve your political ties with Great Britain are certainly justifiable, but also twisted by your point of view to fit what you are after. There are no reasons that you stated that couldn't be explained and reasoned out by the King and therefore the separation you so desire will not be granted.
             Claiming that he, The King, prevented the population of the States and refused to encourage migration in a malicious manner is self-serving to you and your want to become independent from Great Britain. The King was simply protecting your States from over population and confusion. Being a new land with new government, he wanted to assure a smooth transition without the complications of too many new comers in the beginning. This was done with your own interests in mind, with no selfishness intended.
             The armies sent in to protect you were sent with the best intentions, not out of the cruelty and tyranny that you say. He realized that you did not like the idea of protection, but he felt that it was prudent to make sure you were all right. Just like parents with their children, sometimes he must do things that you may not like for your own good. The King was also never told of this claimed harassment to your people, and what he did hear of he took care of. There were no "mock trials" to protect the army and to condone the killing of the civilians. The trials took place and a proper judgment was found.
             It is an expensive thing to run 2 countries, one from afar. To afford to send people back and forth, importing and exporting goods, messenger...
