Every year the National Football League (NFL) grows larger. More and more people are starting to watch football on Sunday and Monday nights. Family and friends are listening or watching the football game on the TV., radio, or in the stadium stands. One team, however, stands apart from the rest. The Green Bay Packers Commonly known as "The Pack". The Packers are extraordinarily special to many fans in Wisconsin along other places across the country.
             Now in their 83rd season of professional football, the Green Bay Packers are a team and an organization unique in both structure and accomplishment. They represent the only publicly owned franchise in the 32-club National Football League. On the field, they have won more championships than any other team in the NFL's 81-year history. Green Bay Packers, Inc. was founded as a non-profit corporation in 1922 under the leadership of A.B. Turnbull, then publisher of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, who became the organizations first president. There are 4,748,909 shares of stock owned by 110,901 stockholders. The corporation is governed by a seven-member Executive Committee, elected from a board of directors. Its unique ownership strengthens the Packers' relationship to their fans and their community.
             Many fans like to get to games early and have a tailgate party. Fans talk with one another about the players and the game while drinking a beer and eating a brat. The Packers are known for having the ultimate fans. In the hall of fame there is a fan that is called St. Vincent Lombardi. At every game he dresses up and has his picture taken with thousands of fans. During the game Packer fans discuss the plays and argue over bad calls made by the refs. After the game the fans stay in the stadium for the fifth quarter show where they listen to music and chat about the game. Good or bad the stadium is full.
