The artists born within the period of the Harlem Renaissance were spread across the country and knew nothing of one another. As time progressed, they began to develop a type of kinship driven by their feelings of political activism, unwavering ethnic pride and a peerless sense of cultural understanding, which ventures out along all geographic regions.
