Specific Purpose: To inform my audience how Marijuana can help you or hurt you.
            
 Central Idea: More Marijuana is grown in the United States than soybeans, grapes, lettuce, tomatoes and all other cash crops.
            
 v	There are many other names for marijuana. 
            
 v	Marijuana is a $10 billion industry in the United States.
            
 v	Marijuana has been being use since as far back as 2737B.C.
            
 Ø	By 50A.D marijuana had spread from India through Western Europe.
            
 §	It was brought to the United States by way of Mexican laborers in the 20th Century.
            
 §	Marijuana is an Indian hemp. 
            
 Ø	The plants are in a sticky resin that oozes from their tips and leaves.
            
 §	 The resins are produced by the pant in a reaction to the sun
            
 §	The hotter the sun the more potent the resin will turn out.
            
 Ø	Tetrahydrocarrabirol also known as TCH is the most important content in marijuana. 
            
 §	The leaves of marijuana may only contain 1 or 2 %.
            
 §	The flowering bracts may only contain 10 % or more.
            
 §	What has to be done to the pot before it is ready to be smoked.
            
 §	Smoking pot can cause brochettes, smaller lung capacity and abnormal changes in lung tissue.
            
 §	Marijuana has many of the same effects to the lungs as tobacco.
            
 §	It is used for treating pain, nausea and vomiting that are side effect of chemotherapy and restoring the appetite in people with AIDS.
            
 §	The United States Food and drug administration made marijuana into a pill form as effective but more expensive.
            
 §	Law enforcement said that some would use the drug to sell for profit and it will be abused as a drug.
            
 §	Studies sponsored by the government found that marijuana was appropriated to use in some medical condition.
