             Ever since man came bustling out of the last Ice Age, 11 thousand years ago, armed with sharpened sticks, he has had a nasty habit of destroying the nature, without mentioning the fact of its population growth at non-sustainable rates. The world we know today will perhaps not support life if humans don't become conscious of its irresponsible actions over the nature. Furthermore the overpopulation associated with technological advances is also becoming one of the most preeminent problems facing human civilization.
             One of the most widespread concerns is related to global climatic changes trough the greenhouse effect. Many different things cause the greenhouse effect. The amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is increased each year because of the massive consumption of fossil fuels. Another contributing factor is the amount of forest destruction. These are likely to affect worldwide temperatures dramatically.
             Overpopulation can lead wide spread poverty. As more and more people are on this planet the resources become more and more exhausted. As the human race continues to grow, other plant life and animal life begin to disappear. And the fact is we can't live without the other plant life and animal life. By keeping the population of the world at reasonable numbers; pollution levels, diseases, and resources will be able to be maintained at reasonable levels.
             Technology has always favored the educated and the skilled. There is clear evidence that the supply of unskilled workers already exceeds the demand for their services. The danger of technology is that while in the short run it may be cheaper to replace workers, in the long run it is potentially self-destructive because there will not be enough purchasing power to grow the economy. Therefore, political action must be taken to ensure that this societal evolution is beneficial to everyone.
