             Scrooge's sister was younger than him. She apparently loved Scrooge very much and wished for her father to allow her brother to return home where he should stay until he
             was a grown man. Scrooge's sister had a big heart wanting to be altogether at Christmas for the merriest time in the world. She died leaving one child, Fred.
             Fred, Scrooge's nephew was an only child. This apparently is the only blood kin left to Scrooge. Fred was happily married and seemed to enjoy life no matter what circumstances. He had a happy-go-lucky attitude and came around each Christmas to invite his uncle to celebrate the holiday dinner at his house. No matter how rude Scrooge was to Fred he did not let it get him down, but continued to be merry.
