It has never been publicly stated as to why the Arrow was ever cancelled, but one question has surfaced out of this whole affair. Was the Arrow project a world-beater?              complex aircraft. Also, the increasing pressure the Americans put on the Canadian government played a crucial role in the beginning of the end of the prestigious Arrow. And finally, the government and RCAF handling of the whole affair of the Avro Arrow basically killed off any last hope of making the Canadian aviation dream a reality.
             Perhaps the single most influential factor in the termination of the Arrow project was the cost.
