Human society in need to preserve their habitat generates in changes in their most ancients ways of distraction. Hunting has been since day one a way of interaction between humans and the world, but in the last fifty years the concern to preserve natural resources changed the way we see the world. That is how the sport of Sporting Clays is born. This sport simulates the ritual of hunting, using clays instead of animals. Using a shotgun the participants go from station to station shooting at the clays that simulate the path of certain animals in their natural behavior. There are four standard kinds of clays used the pigeon, the rabbit and the battue. The pigeon is the most popular one; it can be throw by pairs or singles. The size of the standard clay or pigeon also varies depending on the level of complexity of the competition. There are three different sizes classified as mini, midi and standard. The size doesn't establish the complexity of the shot, but it can play an important fact. For example in a double shot when the standard is placed farther than the mini, is harder to get the standard instead of the mini. The standard clay in all their sizes is supposed to recreate the flight of pigeons, doves and ducks. Then we have the rabbit. The rabbit is round clay. Stronger than the standard, and machines used for their lunch are specially made for this type of clay. Rabbit's path always goes through the ground simulating a real rabbit in the run. It can be thrown by pairs or singles or mixed with the other types of clays. This kind of clay is one of the hardest in the sport, because of the speed and the non-predictable behave. Sometimes the rabbit jumps while is running through the designated path or hides in the ground before you can shoot at it. Rabbits are usually mixed in combinations with other clays. You can have a rabbit and a pigeon simultaneously, or you can have a rabbit first and after you shot at it, they thr...
