Evaluating Sources

The source that I chose to evaluate is an article out of The World Book Encyclopedia. This article deals with Martin Luther King Jr. and is titled, "King, Martin Luther, Jr." The article talks about King's early life, the civil rights movement, his later years, and his death. It also talks about all of the goals that King had for the civil rights movement. The article contains parts of the famous "I Have a Dream" speech which was given by King.
In the speech, King says "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character" (322). What King is saying that he wants his African American children to be treated just as equally as white children. He is saying that his children are not any different than the white children because everyone is the same when you take a look at the inside.

He says that if they stand up and fight it together, that one day very single one of them will eventually gain their freedom and no longer have to put up a fight (322).
This article was published by World Book Incorporated, and written by David J.

Coming from Troyka, I believe it because Troyka is also a very reliable source and is used in English classrooms all across the nation.
David J. Garrow is the author of the article. I think the information
