If you take a look at Harford County's crime log, you will notice that every year the same crime is committed, to the same car, every New Year. For the individuals responsible for these crimes it is a tradition.
It all started five years ago. A teenager named Sid was going to a New Years party at his friend Alex's house. It was a great party and everyone was having fun, but Sid wanted to experience something more exciting then just laughing at the past with a few of his cronies. So Sid and his friend Rob went for a walk to see what was going on in the neighborhood that Alex lived in. Sid and Rod walked for a few minutes when they came to a Honda Civic. Sid and Rod hated Honda Civics because many people drive them. So Sid took a key out of his pocket and heavily scratched the words,"Civics sucks" on the car.
One of Alex's neighbors must have called the police because five minutes after the deed was done, police were chasing Rod and Sid. Sid and Rod have never run away from the police or really anyone, but they were naturals. Rod and Sid easily got away from at least five police cars and were off hiding in a yard with a pool. Police were all around the house with searchlights, but Sid and Rod were hidden to well to be found. The police eventually gave up, and all but one of the police cars, left the area.
Rod and Sid thought it was so funny how easily they escaped consequences for there actions, so they decided to taunt the officer that remained in the area. Rod walked up to the police car and laughed at the cop. The cop instantly called for back up, and the chase was back on. Rod and Sid went different directions to better their chances of getting away.
