Video games

             The arguement on mature games being too violent, or causing young people to do crazy stupid things is dumb. People are complaining about the creators of games too much and it's in some ways pointless. If you see or hear only what the news, and people all tell you then you might agree with what they say. All people yak about is the content in video games. People claim this to be a big factor in young people doing outrageous things. They claim that these games shouldn't be produced. I disagree.
             A Wal-Mart in San Diego decided to remove at least seven different game titles from their shelves in response to the sniper attacks in the Washington DC area. The Person who removed the games seemed not to know about any of the games. Two of the games taken of the shelves were Rainbow Six, And Rogue Spear. These games are all about Counter-Terrorism, against the criminals. The games were taken off the shelves by the cover art it seems like. If you are done browsing their video game section, you could go to the sporting goods section, and pick yourself up a rifle, scope and some ammunition. Go ahead and get a gun magazine to. You can see how their actions don't accomplish censoring much at all. "The video games that are being recalled feature snipers targeting and killing innocent people".              Video games are not just a waste of time. They are made because it is fun and entertaining. Games with mature content have been successful and a lot of people play them because they are fun. http://www.ceangal.com/gaming/statistics.html shows some interesting things about gaming statistics. They say: "the average age of computer and video game players is 28 years old", "61 percent of all game players are age 18 and over". Not only kids play games. It's all for good fun.
