When man is introduced to religion, all its ethical ideas and codes are basically laid out before him, broken down to the simplest fundamental element that he can easily understand and accept them as his own morality. These are the elements of love, or mercy, and justice (McDonald 28). Love is loving ourselves and our neighbors at the mercy of each other; justice is giving impartial judgments "to each person of what is due to him" (Jaroszynski). Based on these two elements we can form the basic foundation for which we will start to construct our morality.
