The World State's motto emphasizes the importance of the group and the subsequent unimportance of the individual. The community of the "Brave New World" stresses the importance of society, and to the individual, the importance of contributing to its happiness, "Everyone belongs to everybody else." The idea of community is rarely implemented in modern society today. Although some people favor the idea of community in our society, many tend to disregard, and in fact are concerned only about themselves. Huxley's concept of community is nearly non-existent today, and could never function in our world.
             The idea of identity refers to the concept of a caste system, or a means of distinguishing members of society. In the "Brave New World" individuals were given an identity; they were predestined to serve where the World Controllers thought fit. This idea of identity is also a major contrast in society today. Unlike the "Brave New World," individuals today create their own identities. Members of Society today tend to favor individuality and uniqueness in identity whereas the "Brave New World" disapproved of it.
             Stability is the main objective of the "Brave New World". It is the most essential part of the state motto. Stability is what the World Controllers strived for. They wanted to inevitably create the perfect society. The idea of perfection and stability in our society is unheard of. It is nearly impossible to create a Utopian culture today. In a modern society like today there are too many problems to mend, the mere idea of everlasting happiness is absurd.
