Telemakhas is a very important character in the book the ODYSSEY. Telemakhas in a sense is a very troubled kid. He has had no father for his whole life. His father left for war when he was a little baby. The war lasted for over 10 years and then his trip home took more than nine and a half years .
             Athena the great god of wisdom has guided telemakhas in his adventure to find his fathers where about. Telemakhas has found word of his father being on a island trepped under the love spell of the great sea nymph Calypso. Were there for probably means that his father was still alive.
             Telemakhas has grown up most of his life being around Suitors. When he was younger the suitors could just push him around and tease him a lot. Now, that Telemakhas has grown up the Suitors feel more threatened. Especially when he goes on his journey to the kings. The suitors are planning an attack against Telemakhas a t sea to cover up any clue's that they killed him and frame it as an accident. They can't just stick a Knife in him because then Penolpe will not marry them if they murder her son.
             Telemakhas is very different from the youth today. Telemakhas gives much more respect to his elders than we do to our parents. We simply just sometimes wish they were not there. His belief s and his loyalty to the gods are much different to todays times. There society was much more untangeble driven were todays society is driven by tangibility. In our times the youth has much more ability than the days Telemakhas was around. Older people were classed "Superior" and today's times they are classed as disable and outdated.
             In summary Telemakhas is a very wise young man with a bright future.
