I agree "most" students do have short attention spans. Since we are bombarded with technology, students are conditioned to have everything done so quickly. When it comes to school, students struggle to maintain a high concentration and interest in the class. I'm affected by technology because, by simply using a computer, and a calculator, modern technology does the thinking for me.

Personally, I do not benefit from using technology. I would benefit from using books and paying attention in class.
My response tells me that I am a very educated person but I am too lazy to do my work. So I depend on someone or something to do my work for me. Our education level will determine how well our future will be, and we need to create a path way witch we can benefit from.
At first I was defensive and disagreed with the context of the article. After carefully reading it again and giving it some thought, I came to a conclusion that as technology advances people will rely more to a machine rather then their own brain. John Balzar has the right to his own opinion. But it is wrong for him to assume that we lack of interest of school after just teaching for a semester.
