Go to Bed

             I have to watch the end of my show, Nick has to finish his Pokemon game & we successfully ignore Dad. The show ends but then I just HAVE to watch the ads.
             "Come on guys, brush your fangs!"
             I recline into the chair and sit down to see what's on the show next week.
             "Geez dad, no reason to get angry"
             "I'm wasting my breath, do I always have to say things three times before I get a response?"
             I drag myself to the bathroom. Toothpaste or toothpowder? Toothpaste! I brush and I brush and I brush. Toothpaste goes everywhere.
             "Do your teeth in the bathroom. Not on the carpet, toothpaste is going everywhere!"
             "Dad do I ever get toothpaste on the carpet?" "NO"
             "Then what are all these white dots?"
             "It's not me it's Nick, why do I always get the blame?"
             It's always me. Never Nick. I go off to my room to change. I put on my singlet and Starry boxer shorts.
             Every night it takes me approximately 20-30 minutes to get into bed.
             It's the rituals. I don't enjoy doing them, I don't want to do them but I do.
             I think I do it because it makes me feel safe. Once I start I can't stop. So then I start thinking, if it makes me happy then there's nothing bad about so why should I stop? But I'm slowly starting to think that that's not so true anymore.
             I need a drink. I always need a drink. Well I don't actually need it but I still get it. I drink about half the cup and then leave it by my bed in case I need it in the night.
