             The positive impact on uniforms brings better student behavior, respect for students and their school, and
             support from certain parents. First, Uniforms have a positive impact on student behavior. By creating a
             better environment for discipline and learning, discrimination against groups disappear. In high crime
             areas, uniforms bring peace between local gang members by forcing them to dress alike and not wear
             gang related colors. Next, setting appropriate standards for students, forces those to dress in a way that
             helps them respect themselves and their school. The vulgar, obscene, and sloppy dress and hairstyles
             send the wrong message among fellow students. By eliminating competition among students for the
             latest fashions, there is more emphasis on the individual student and not on their style of dress. Lastly,
             some parents support the uniforms. They are happy that the uniforms eliminate status contest, which
             begins to encourage a scholarly attitude and makes there children all equal in school. By having
             uniforms, students are seen for who they are and not for how they dress. By having supportive parents,
             students begin to respect themselves and their school, while behaving in a manner well fit for the future.
             Administration worrying about violations, the individual rights of the students, and the people who don't
             support the uniforms are just a few reasons on why uniforms have a negative impact in schools. First,
             Principals and Teachers devote their time and energy more to worrying about the dress code violations
             then the educational needs of the students. With such an authoritarian atmosphere, it is only alienating
             students and sending them the wrong message. Parents teach their kids to not judge people by how
