Lets Go To War

~ Lets Go to War ~
My name is John. I am a twenty-eight year old man who lives in a small town in New Jersey. I am a carpenter in business with my father. I am happily married with one child. I have recently heard about the Zimmermann Telegram and I find it appalling. If Germany is going to demand such things from the United States, I believe we should give them exactly what will put them in their place. A war! After hearing and reading about the telegram I am definitely going to back my country up and join the United States Army. I do feel that our country should get involved in this European war. No more playing the wishy-washy neutrals! Lets fight. It looks to me as if Germany has gotten to big for their britches. America should join Europe in their battle. Germany has no right to make such a promise to Mexico because they have absolutely no control over the Mexican-American land. How dare them to try to sway the Mexicans into such betrayal! What gives Germany the right to tell the United States what to do in situations like these. "You will inform the president of the above most secretly" We can inform our president however we want. Man... this really makes me hot under the collar. It makes me want to join Europe and fight even harder. I feel very strongly about this matter and I am willing to do all it takes to support the United States. I believe our pride and honor is due to this great nation. Lets take up for our country and fight for what is right. Men of this town, I challenge you to take a challenge and join the United States Army. Stand up for your country and lets help to defeat those "Huns".
             Sincerely,
             John
