This view has largely been discarded in the 20th century, because many anti-Christian movements have prospered and the world has not progressed spiritually, (Walvoord 1985).
             Ancient – The early creed formulations of Christianity provide only some of the basic elements of eschatology. For instance, the Apostles' Creed simply affirms: "He ascended into heaven; and stitch on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead," and "I believe the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting." The Nicene Creed stays well within these same claims. This fits with the postmillennialism view and other ancient creeds affirm this same belief, (Gentry Jr. 1995).
